Hanoi Design Centre is established as a result of cooperation between Vietnam Handicraft Exporters Association (Vietnam) and Lund Design School (Sweden). This cooperation is supported by The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) in Hanoi. The main functions of the Centre are to develop design capacities, provide consultancies for Vietnamese handicraft producers and at the same time to promote designs of handicraft sector in Vietnam. Sustainability is a core value at our Centre. Our passion is to assist poor artisans, especially ethnic women, to have a better life through the sustainable development of handicrafts.
The Hanoi Design Centre is a convenient, one-stop showroom that allows home buyers and tourists to see, touch, feel and experience the highest quality of Vietnamese home decor and gift products. It features an assortment of products by Vietnamese and international designers that focus on originality, utility and innovative production techniques. The primary purpose of the showroom is to serve as encouragement to students, designers, and forward-thinking business men and women to “think outside the box” when developing new products and services for today’s market.
